Liberal Tears Flood Canada

The flood of American liberals sneaking across the border into Canada has intensified in the past week, sparking calls for increased patrols to stop the illegal immigration. The Republican Presidential primary campaign is prompting an exodus among left leaning citizens who fear they'll soon be required to hunt, pray, and live according to the Constitution.

Canadian border farmers say it's not uncommon to see dozens of sociology professors, global warming activists, and "green" energy proponents crossing their fields at night.

"I went out to milk the cows the other day, and there was a Hollywood producer huddled in the barn," said Southern Manitoba farmer Red Greenfield, whose acreage borders North Dakota . “The producer was cold, exhausted and hungry. He asked me if I could spare a latte and some free-range chicken. When I said I didn't have any, he left before I even got a chance to show him my screenplay, eh?"

In an effort to stop the illegal aliens, Greenfield erected higher fences, but the liberals scaled them. He then installed loudspeakers that blared Rush Limbaugh across the fields, but they just keep coming.

Officials are particularly concerned about smugglers called "Ubers" who meet liberals near the Canadian border, pack them into electric cars and drive them across the border where they are simply left to fend for themselves after the battery dies.

"A lot of these people are not prepared for our rugged conditions," an Ontario border patrolman said. "I found one carload without a single bottle of Voss drinking water. They did have a nice little Napa Valley Cabernet, though, and some kale chips."

When liberals are caught, they're sent back across the border, often wailing loudly that they fear retribution from conservatives. Rumors have been circulating about plans being made to build re-education camps where liberals will be forced to drink domestic beer, study the Constitution and work for a living.

In recent days, liberals have turned to ingenious ways of crossing the border. Some have been disguised as senior citizens taking a bus trip to buy cheap Canadian prescription drugs. After catching a half- dozen young vegans in blue-hair wig disguises, Canadian immigration authorities began stopping buses and quizzing the supposed senior citizens about Perry Como and Rosemary Clooney to prove that they were alive in the '50s. "If they can't identify the accordion player on The Lawrence Welk Show, we become very suspicious about their age," an official said.

Canadian citizens have complained that the illegal immigrants are creating an organic-broccoli shortage, buying up all the Barbara Streisand c.d.'s, and renting all the Michael Moore movies. "I really feel sorry for American liberals, but the Canadian economy just can't support them," an Ottawa resident said. "How many art-history majors does one country need?"

Fudging the Employment Numbers the Chicago Way

Did Team Hope and Change Fudge the Unemployment Numbers Just Prior to the 2012 Elections?

Lets look at the data!
 
Some may say that no fudging is going on because the numbers are still dismal. I'll give you that - but fudging one month's unemployment data wasn't designed to change that. It was designed to get Obama re-elected, specifically by providing him cover for the charge that he had failed to meet his 2009 promise to get the unemployment rate below 8 percent.
 
Census Data employee Buckmon himself said the falsification came on orders from higher up the food chain, which means it was systematic. If it's true that Buckmon left his job in 2011, that doesn't mean his on-the-record information about systematic falsification is any less credible. This is the sort of guy that liberals refer to as a "whistleblower" when they like what he's saying. He's a pariah when he disagrees with them.


But even that isn't the strongest proof that the numbers were faked.

The strongest proof is the numbers themselves, which are simply implausible. Maybe Democrats and low info voters will believe anything, but the rest of us are not that stupid. Consider:

The unemployment report is based on two surveys - a household survey and an employer survey. Here are the new job creation results of both surveys, by month, for the entire year of 2012 (the numbers are in thousands):

So what Hope and Change operatives wants us to believe is that, consistent with the household survey, in November 2012, an economy that had struggled all year, and had actually lost jobs the previous two months, suddenly for no apparent reason created 810,000 jobs! This in spite of the fact that the employer survey shows no serious variation from the trend.






I suppose you could cite the similarly odd number from January 2012, which purports to show 712,000 new jobs created, and use this as evidence that the household survey varies wildly and therefore what it showed in September is not all that unusual. But January 2012 did show relatively strong growth coming out of the employer survey, whereas September 2012 showed no such thing.






The bottom line here is that we have to measure the strength of the argument of those who believe

there was faking going on against those trying to deny it. In our camp we have a) implausible numbers; b) motive; c) sources inside Census Bureau, one of whom has given his name; and d) an administration we already know is willing to use manipulate government agencies for political purposes. In their camp is a) an official government denial; and b) apologists who follow the usual script whenever conservatives catch Obama doing something wrong.

Palin's Record in Contrast to the Dear Leaders...

As governor, Palin combed through the Alaskan budget line by line and powerfully wielded her veto pen.In stark contrast to President Obama and other governors whose fiscal records are dogged by credit downgrades, Palin left Alaska with an improved credit rating during and following her tenure as governor. Standard & Poor’s raised Alaska’s credit rating from AA to AA+ in April 2008.

Then in 2010, both Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s upgraded Alaska to AAA for the first time in the state’s history due to policies enacted by Palin that made the state’s finances more than solvent.

She implemented important reforms to Alaska’s oil industry and pressured Exxon to start drilling again in Point Thomson after holding leasing on the land for years.

And, unlike the Democrats who talk a big game about taking on Big Oil, Palin actually took on Big Oil with a tenacity that should make her Nancy Pelosi’s hero, releasing the stranglehold that those companies had on the oil resources and industry in her state, driving both more exploration, and the resulting jobs at the same time increased royalty revenues.

She didn’t stand for corruption in the Alaskan government – her ethical stance, in fact, was a key factor in the popularity that allowed her to run for governor.Taking on corruption and crony capitalism has always been a cornerstone of Sarah Palin's agenda; in Alaska she did take on the old-boy network — the oil companies and her own party . As oil and gas commissioner, Sarah Palin called out the unethical practices of members of her own party. As Governor, she sought to end the back room deals and improper relationships between oil companies and politicians.

And for all that she's labeled as "empty" and according to MSNBC, worthy of only defecating on. Seems like the party of "Hope and Change" is letting everyone know what they really think of strong, successful, intelligent women.

Universal Healthcare - Make Your Neighbor Pay!

Universal Health Care. Sounds magnanimous doesn't it. Altruistic even? How could something with such a pure intent go wrong?

Because human nature doesn't work that way, that's why. Perhaps an example? Well, one that I made up, but at least it isn't as made up as the Obamacare numbers..

There are 3 tenants living in a rent controlled apartment in NY (ex: John, Tom, Chris). John works hard and pays his bills ontime as best he can. Finances are tight and he is saving up for his son to go to college.


Tom has also worked hard but has fallen under ill health. He is no longer able to afford rent and take care of his bills.We know that Chris doesn't work and survives by his parents' support.Chris, who it seems has always had a penchant for trying to interfere in people's private lives, learns of Tom's misfortune. Just as anyone would, Chris feels bad for the guy. One day, Chris has had enough of seeing Tom suffer. He doesn't have any fiscal responsibility or earning capacity so he can't help Tom out. So what does he decide to do? He decides to hit John up for the money. John says "I'm sorry, I just don't have it. I'd love to help Tom and I will if I am able but I am running a business in an Obama economy, barely getting by, barely able to afford rent and trying to put a kid through college. I just can't afford to lose any more money by supporting Tom.


Now the proper thing for Chris to say would be "Hey, thanks for your willingness. Let me know if you are able to help him out in the future. God bless." But Chris has attended a few Obama indoctrination sessions and knows how Chicago politics work.

Chris knocks him down on the ground and at knifepoint and says "Sorry John. I'm not taking no for an answer. Tom needs your money and needs it now. Either fork it up or I slit your throat." (Yes...I know that the government isn't looking to slit anyone's throat but a 20 year sentence for tax evasion isn't pretty either)


This is what Obama and the rest of the democrats want to do. Through confiscatory tax hikes, they feel that they have the right to MAKE someone else pay for someone else’s healthcare. And phones. And gas. And food. And housing. And on and on.

Not because they other person necessarily needs it, but because YOU have it.

You see charity at the point of a gun isn't charity. It's just being jacked.

Phony Scandals

If any of you have kids, you will recognize the pattern of behavior exhibited by White House officials and spokespeople. I didn't do it. Some other guy did it. These are "phony" scandals. Me thinks they doth protest too much.

Lois Lerner summed it up perfectly. I please the 5th. Because I didn't do it. And I'm innocent. And I was just following orders. And you are biased against me. And it wasn't me that did it....

Finally, A President I can trust!

So lets review. Obama and his State Department apologize to Muslims after the terrorist attack at the embassy in Egypt and attack on U.S. Consulate building in Libya. Then on the day of the terrorist attacks, Obama pops off the Las Vegas to fund-raise with a bunch of leftist fat cats, and take some turns shooting dice at the craps tables. While his Ambassador was missing, and by all accounts, being anally raped and tortured. All while the President of Libya says it wasn't the video - and there wasn't even protests before the Benghazi consulate was attacked. Sorry Jay Carney. 





For the last week, the Obama regime continued to deny that the attacks on Americans in Muslim countries were terrorism, and now we pay $70,000 to apologize to Pakistanis on their TV for the Youtube video.



You heard that right - we are paying to run an ad in Pakistan apologizing for the video that Obama said we have nothng to do with.

The ad features Obama talking about ‘religious tolerance’ and Hillary Clinton again begging and pleading with Muslims that the U.S. government had nothing to do with the Youtube video. All in an effort to not "rile up" the Muslims, who by all accounts are usually a calm, measured and insightful people.


Not to distract from the issue at hand - that in the most dangerous country in the world, on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, our Ambassador had no protection, and two ex Navy Seals, stationed there to protect the data and records threw themselves into the breach to protect the Ambassador. All while Valerie Jarrett vacations in Martha's Vineyard, a notorious hotbed of unrest and violence with EIGHT (8!) armed Secret Service agents and armored vehicles.


Obama has it right - the real issue is the video, and not the Obama administration's policies of appeasement in the middle east. Sure.


Finally it would appear that we have a President we can trust - unfortunately, he is the President of Libya.

White House Recipe for Obama Beer and a Failed Presidency

So the White House, to much fanfare releases the "recipe" for their own micro brew that they apparently serve there. The recipe calls for Malt Extract and "Fuggles" Hop Pellets. I have attached same should you want to brew up a pot for your own consumption. Except if you sell it, then you will be arrested.

The White House has another recipe that unfortunately, they have been all too willing to share!


Recipe for a Failed Presidency

• Take 40 months of above 8% unemployment
• Add slowly the reduction of American's personal wealth by 40%
• Whisk in 49.1% of the population taking gov't benefits of some kind
• Add in 50% of the population paying no taxes
• Dust with a multi-million $ GSA conference that highlights government waste
• Blend with divisive politics ginned up to buy votes
• Mix with $26 billion "invested" in GM union pensions at the peril of investors on the backs of taxpayers
• Finally, add two Fiskars and a Solyndra and let ferment for 4 years

And you will make yourself the best batch of Failed Presidency ever. Obama style.

Democratic party spin on job creation

In listening to the Obama spin doctors tell me that the rise in unemployment from 8.2% to 8.3% is "good news" I thought that I would help out by proposing my own round of job stimulus ideas to assist the Dimocratic party:

• Free education. As much as anyone wants. The world can't have too many Ph.D.'s in “Multicultural Interpretive Puppetry Arts!”
•  Full employment. Everyone gets a job. A government job. With a union. That way, "work" won't require...you know, actual "WORK."
• Raise the minimum wage to $250 an hour. That way, EVERYBODY can be rich. Yay, us!
• Reduce the workweek. 40 hours a week is just too much. Mondays? Ugh. People shouldn't have to get up that early. Try 22 hours. After all, daytime TV won’t watch itself!
• Reduce the retirement age. France is proposing 60 years as the cutoff. In Greece, the average is 57. They suck. We are Americans. We can do better. Reduce it to 29.
• Kiss-a-thons at Chik-Fil-A count as work towards your welfare entitlement
• Reparation payments for people that were forced, over the course of their lifetimes to work for "the man."
• Tax dead people. Exemptions will be granted for dead people that vote Dumocrat.

If the Government Giveth, then they can also Taketh

Despite the efforts of libs to try and back pedal on what Obama said, there is, as many have pointed out a deeper meaning, backed up by an insidious plan.

Obama wishes us to believe that, because successful producers learned something from government teachers, used government roads and bridges, employed government research, and the like, this means they don’t really own their success or wealth, and that since government "gave" it to them, government can take it away.

Americans know full well that the government funds such things by forcibly confiscating the wealth of producers. Americans know full well that in many cases the "consumers" of the public services are in large part no the funders of such activities, and may in fact be consuming more than their "fair share" of these services - hence 37% food stamp usage and only 53% of Americans paying any income tax. Rational Americans also know that a bum is as free to use a government bridge as is a successful business owner, but the business owner chose to apply his intelligence and work hard to build something great. So that is how we got to where we are.

Why, then, does He spout such nonsense?

The purpose of Obama’s speech was NOT to present serious arguments about the causes of success in business, or even to congratule or motivate people to achieve success. Nay, Obama’s purpose was to give envious Americans the pretext they need to openly loathe those who have been successful—and to vote accordingly in order to get more from those that have produced.

If the successful didn’t really earn their success—and thus the wealth that comes with it—then there’s nothing wrong with “spreading their wealth around” to those who have not been so successful. If no one is responsible for his success, then no one has a right to the fruits of his success, and thus those who haven’t been successful have the same right to those fruits.

Further more - an here is the insidious and odious part of Obama's beliefs - if the successful resist the “noble” effort to redistribute what is “really” the community’s wealth, then they are at best racist, or at worst evil.

Make the connection friends - do you have a 401k? Well others don't and you should be compelled to share your financial acumen with them. It's only fair. Have a house? How about a special 3.8% tax on any sale profits. I know, those government wasn't there during any of the maintenance or home improvement weekends, but don't be greedy. Built a business to hand over to your children? It's not fair that you created that nest egg when others haven't been able to, so we're going to be taking about 50% of the value of that business. Fair and balanced, half for you - half for the have nots.

Friends - these are not inane ramblings - this is what is going to happen to you and I - all of us, should we waiver in our conviction to un-anoint Obama in November. Unlike previous selections, his agenda is laid bare before all of us.

Guitars, Cadillacs and Government Interference

So when the Obummer government wanted to crush the spirit of American business, ruin a key and historic industry for America and ensure hundreds if not thousands of Americans lose their jobs and become government dependees, they attacked Gibson guitars for their use of "endangered" wood - despite the fact that Gibson had complied with all laws in the US, and all laws overseas. Other guitar firms that weren't managed by prominent Republican CEOs, of course, were not targetted by the fleets of armed soldiers the government sent into Gibson to terrorize their workforce and purloin all of their working materials.


The government insists that business - even in matters of health care, cannot be trusted to do the right thing by their market, country and customers and must be forced, at the point of a gun if required, to comply with mandates that bureaucrats in Washington - yes the same ones that made all the GREAT decisions over at GSA, the ones we know we can trust with our money, have come up with.


But I digress.


But what if a business, a progressive, market attuned and smart business, interested in doing the right thing was to be left alone to solve a problem? According to the government office of Compliance and Thuggery, such businesses don't exist, and if they did, they surely would only be motivated by short term profits at the expense of their customers, their country and all natural resources? Is this true?

Taylor recently acquired an ebony weood mill in Cameroon. Black ebony is a prized material for guitar fretboards. It's also on the verge of extinction.


Was this a hedge against diminishing worldwide supplies of ebony? Was it an effort to stabilize prices, or was the move was more about thoughtfully introducing sustainability into the supply chain? Surely no greedy business would THINK through the supply situation and get involved unless the government MADE them do it?

Perhaps not.


Alarmed by the diminishing supply of this wood, Taylor visited ebony loggers in Cameroon -- the last legal ebony harvesting site in the world. What they saw there defied business sense and common logic. Since the harvesters were unable to see whether an ebony tree would produce rich black wood, or an 'inferior' striated variety unless they first cut down the tree, they cut down 10 trees just to find the one "good one". And the nine trees that had been needlessly felled were left to rot.




Taylor realized that the striated ebony wood made acoustically and ergonomically perfect fretboards, amongst other guitar parts. In fact, Taylor had been using striated ebony for guitars since the company started -- initially as a cost-saving measure. Now, if other leading guitar brands could be convinced to use this wood, the ebony shortage would suddenly disappear, guitar builders would have ten times the supply and the Cameroons could sell 10 times as much wood.


Prior to the Cameroon acquistion, Taylor guitars had contemplated feedback from consumers recommending the company support tree replanting programs in areas stripped of ebony. It was a simple solution that would, in theory, provide a sustainable supply of the prized wood. It would also make for a wonderful corporate sustainability story.

In reality, however, the idea was less than ideal.

Bob Taylor said, "In places like Cameroon, it's not possible to do anything without a bribe. Planting trees in situations like this would simply fuel illegal harvesting, and do nothing to make the wood supply more sustainable." Taylor came to understand the solution was more complex. With the company's purchase of the mill, the full extent of that complexity was revealed.

"We quickly grasped there were fundamental issues that needed to be addressed -- contradictory laws and lumber accounting systems, for example" says Taylor. "We had to start by helping fix the system, demonstrating by example that doing business honestly -- taxing us and auditing us -- was in the government's best interest." Taylor is quick to point out that his company's approach has, of necessity, been methodical rather than splashy. "We aren't planting trees yet. We're working first to stop the illegal harvest, and get a better understanding of how many trees there actually are. Our focus is ensuring the harvest is legal, and then sustainable. It's a long-term strategy that might not make a great sound bite. But ultimately, it will help us save our own industry and the ebony species in Cameroon."

Taylor Guitars understands that looking at and understanding whole systems is key to creating successful, sustainable innovation, instead of "fake"solutions that make Western consumers feel good but do nothing to correct underlying problems. And this point is underscored when government bodies, with even less knowledge, with suspect motives and no accountability to anyone interfere with free market forces and , at the point of a gun, make companies behave the way they want them to.

It is bad business, bad poltics and bad ethics. While Taylor is succeeding because they were left alone, Gibson is still trying to get their ebony back from our government.

Who wants to be that marijuana is next "appeasement" strategy by Democrats. And I want to think that they would tag on free get of out jail passes for anyone in jail for simple possession charges.

An estimated 5% of US population smokes weed EVERY DAY. That is 15 million pro bong voters for Obama. Don't think he won't leave that demographic alone.

I saw James Carville in the airport in Dallas once. I overcame my natural urge to punch him, mostly because he looks kind of fragile - like a Muppet that got put in the dryer by mistake and kind of shrunk and stretched all at the same time. What I did do however, was recall his famous  "It's the economy stupid" comment during the Clinton years.

And it is.

And "the economy" to most people anyways, is highlighted by only 2 things - prices of goods led by gasoline prices - and jobs, with jobs in the lead by a bunch. If you don't have a job, you don't have the ability to bitch about prices, so jobs is Job One. Sorry Ford.

I ran across this chart on PJTV the other day and thought it appropriate to present to my readership.

Since 2008 (I wonder what happened then?) the job losses by age category have been most pronounced for young people - who have take almost 3 times the "hit" of other groups. As Steve Carrell from "The Office" mockingly said to a Princeton graduating class last week - "You are young, and because you are young, you are also wrong." I wonder if any of these new voters have a different opinion of their 2008 vote for Obama now that they are standing on the stage with a $150,000 student loan in one hand and shrinking job prospects in the other.And a degree in the third hand. The real world can be cruel sometimes.

But that isn't the most striking part of the graph. Look at the far right. (Small r!)

The only job growth in the last 4 years is in people over 60 who have had to postpone or abandon their retirement. Kids can't get jobs? Blame granny, because she isn't moving to Sarasota anymore. And remember - there is no more pissed off person than an old pissed off person.

These folks are going to be looking for blood in November. Across the board, young, middle aged and old - folks are going to hold politicians - a la Wisconsin - for their actions.

Is it the economy stupid? Yes, and the economy is jobs. QAnd EVERYONE is hurting.ap

As Conservatives are told they are heartless about providing benefits to people that won't work, we find out that the unemployment figures are actually ginned up in Obama's favor, but creating a loophole wher millions of Americans can STILL live without working at all.

Disability is the new LAZY MAN's way to play. Disability claims are up almost 20% as people threatented with having to go back to work after disemployment incentives are used up now turn to "back problems" and "mental health issues" as the new way to get paid. In fact over 43% of all claims are related to "mental illness" and a growing number of them come from former white collar workers.

Over 10.5 million people, about 5.3 of the population now are "disabled". Another 7.5 million or another 3.5% are behind bars. 27% are under age 20. 23% are over 65. A furhter 6% of the population is "legitimately disabled" to a degree they can't work. 1% are in the active duty military. 9% are "unemployed". A further 9% do no work because they can't be bothered any more to seek a job. 8% of the population is on welfare.

Want to feel like a one %'er? You should by now.

Just remember that given these figures, 9% of the US population is providing the free ride to all the other classes (with the exception of the military - who deserve every penny they get and more). Even if you remove double counting possibilities (disability victims on welfare) - 28% of the population supports 72%.

As the disability fund is expected to run out of benefits in FOUR YEARS, I would plan on a big fat juicy take hike to pay for all the Obama supporters who can't or won't contribute.

I can only hope this change doesn't happen. I'm running out of charity.

The Obama Family Problem

Okay Michelle, this conversation isn't going to be easy, but I think it is time that we put a little fiscal responsibility into the Obama household. After getting denied that car loan because of our credit situation - we have got to do something. So here are the numbers.


Last year as a family we made $108,500. Pretty good - all of those community organizing events that I put on are starting to pay off. But here's where it gets scary Michelle - together, the 4 of us SPENT $191,100 for the year.


Holy crap. I mean really? Holy crap! That amount of $82,600 we overspent put our total debit at $713,550 for a family. Holy crap, that's all I can say.


Now, I know that you are a good housekeeper and all, and the coupon clipping has really helped out but that total was only $1,925. I mean, it isn't a drop in the bucket.


Now, I can try and get more Black Panthers to intimidate voters and all - heck I might even ask my rich uncle to donate some money for an advance on the new book I'm writing. But heckfire Michelle, we have got to get the spending under control around here, or we're going to be in big trouble. Dang it  -  we ARE in big trouble. Earning 15 or 20% more by taking money from my rich relatives isn't going to make a lot of difference.


And no, Michelle just stopping the "discretionary spending" isn't going to help. That's pocket change. I mean it's good and all, but that isn't going to get this under control.


We've got to get to the meat of this and cut off the things that we signed up for that we have to pay every month - I mean, less giving to our poor neighbors who won't work, no more paying for your niece's 5th baby, and stopping sending money to that guy in Idaho so he won't make any more Obama Chia-pets. We just don't have the money for it any more, and giving all these hangers on a "hand up" has turned into a "hand out". Enough is enough Michelle - we're cutting all these losers off right now.


Okay, okay, stop the crying - it isn't all your fault. We both spent our way into this, and there is no spending our way out of it. Your lazy relatives will be motivated to find work once we stop giving them handouts, and my rich uncle says he has enough money to start a new business or two if we stop taking from him, so everyone will get taken care of.


Michelle - sometimes a real man has got to do what a real man has got to do. It may be tough now, but it's the best for all our futures.
