Did Team Hope and Change Fudge the Unemployment Numbers Just Prior to the 2012 Elections?
Lets look at the data!
Some may say that no fudging is going on because the numbers are still dismal. I'll give you that - but fudging one month's unemployment data wasn't designed to change that. It was designed to get Obama re-elected, specifically by providing him cover for the charge that he had failed to meet his 2009 promise to get the unemployment rate below 8 percent.
Census Data employee Buckmon himself said the falsification came on orders from higher up the food chain, which means it was systematic. If it's true that Buckmon left his job in 2011, that doesn't mean his on-the-record information about systematic falsification is any less credible. This is the sort of guy that liberals refer to as a "whistleblower" when they like what he's saying. He's a pariah when he disagrees with them.
But even that isn't the strongest proof that the numbers were faked.
The strongest proof is the numbers themselves, which are simply implausible. Maybe Democrats and low info voters will believe anything, but the rest of us are not that stupid. Consider:
The unemployment report is based on two surveys - a household survey and an employer survey. Here are the new job creation results of both surveys, by month, for the entire year of 2012 (the numbers are in thousands):
Employer Survey
Jan: 311
Feb: 271
March: 205
April: 112
May: 125
June: 87
July: 153
Aug: 165
Sept: 138
Oct: 160
Nov: 247
Dec 219
Household Survey
Jan: 712
Feb: 411
March: 1
April: -86
May: 368
Jun: 146
July: -198
August: -86
Sept: 810
Oct: 354
Nov: -51
Dec: 28
So what Hope and Change operatives wants us to believe is that, consistent with the household survey, in November 2012, an economy that had struggled all year, and had actually lost jobs the previous two months, suddenly for no apparent reason created 810,000 jobs! This in spite of the fact that the employer survey shows no serious variation from the trend.
I suppose you could cite the similarly odd number from January 2012, which purports to show 712,000 new jobs created, and use this as evidence that the household survey varies wildly and therefore what it showed in September is not all that unusual. But January 2012 did show relatively strong growth coming out of the employer survey, whereas September 2012 showed no such thing.
The bottom line here is that we have to measure the strength of the argument of those who believe
there was faking going on against those trying to deny it. In our camp we have a) implausible numbers; b) motive; c) sources inside Census Bureau, one of whom has given his name; and d) an administration we already know is willing to use manipulate government agencies for political purposes. In their camp is a) an official government denial; and b) apologists who follow the usual script whenever conservatives catch Obama doing something wrong.
You decide.

Palin's Record in Contrast to the Dear Leaders...
As governor, Palin combed through the Alaskan budget line by line and powerfully wielded her veto pen.In stark contrast to President Obama and other governors whose fiscal records are dogged by credit downgrades, Palin left Alaska with an improved credit rating during and following her tenure as governor. Standard & Poor’s raised Alaska’s credit rating from AA to AA+ in April 2008.
Then in 2010, both Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s upgraded Alaska to AAA for the first time in the state’s history due to policies enacted by Palin that made the state’s finances more than solvent.
She implemented important reforms to Alaska’s oil industry and pressured Exxon to start drilling again in Point Thomson after holding leasing on the land for years.
And, unlike the Democrats who talk a big game about taking on Big Oil, Palin actually took on Big Oil with a tenacity that should make her Nancy Pelosi’s hero, releasing the stranglehold that those companies had on the oil resources and industry in her state, driving both more exploration, and the resulting jobs at the same time increased royalty revenues.
She didn’t stand for corruption in the Alaskan government – her ethical stance, in fact, was a key factor in the popularity that allowed her to run for governor.Taking on corruption and crony capitalism has always been a cornerstone of Sarah Palin's agenda; in Alaska she did take on the old-boy network — the oil companies and her own party . As oil and gas commissioner, Sarah Palin called out the unethical practices of members of her own party. As Governor, she sought to end the back room deals and improper relationships between oil companies and politicians.
And for all that she's labeled as "empty" and according to MSNBC, worthy of only defecating on. Seems like the party of "Hope and Change" is letting everyone know what they really think of strong, successful, intelligent women.

Universal Healthcare - Make Your Neighbor Pay!
Universal Health Care. Sounds magnanimous doesn't it. Altruistic even? How could something with such a pure intent go wrong?
Because human nature doesn't work that way, that's why. Perhaps an example? Well, one that I made up, but at least it isn't as made up as the Obamacare numbers..
.
There are 3 tenants living in a rent controlled apartment in NY (ex: John, Tom, Chris). John works hard and pays his bills ontime as best he can. Finances are tight and he is saving up for his son to go to college.
Tom has also worked hard but has fallen under ill health. He is no longer able to afford rent and take care of his bills. We know that Chris doesn't work and survives by his parents' support.Chris, who it seems has always had a penchant for trying to interfere in people's private lives, learns of Tom's misfortune. Just as anyone would, Chris feels bad for the guy. One day, Chris has had enough of seeing Tom suffer. He doesn't have any fiscal responsibility or earning capacity so he can't help Tom out. So what does he decide to do? He decides to hit John up for the money. John says "I'm sorry, I just don't have it. I'd love to help Tom and I will if I am able but I am running a business in an Obama economy, barely getting by, barely able to afford rent and trying to put a kid through college. I just can't afford to lose any more money by supporting Tom.
Now the proper thing for Chris to say would be "Hey, thanks for your willingness. Let me know if you are able to help him out in the future. God bless." But Chris has attended a few Obama indoctrination sessions and knows how Chicago politics work.
Chris knocks him down on the ground and at knifepoint and says "Sorry John. I'm not taking no for an answer. Tom needs your money and needs it now. Either fork it up or I slit your throat." (Yes...I know that the government isn't looking to slit anyone's throat but a 20 year sentence for tax evasion isn't pretty either)
This is what Obama and the rest of the democrats want to do. Through confiscatory tax hikes, they feel that they have the right to MAKE someone else pay for someone else’s healthcare. And phones. And gas. And food. And housing. And on and on.
Not because they other person necessarily needs it, but because YOU have it.
You see charity at the point of a gun isn't charity. It's just being jacked.
Because human nature doesn't work that way, that's why. Perhaps an example? Well, one that I made up, but at least it isn't as made up as the Obamacare numbers..

Chicago - Tastes Like Death
According the Chicago Police Department, 308 persons have been murdered in the Windy City as of as of August 5th. Thus far in August, 14 have been murdered. Some weekends in Chicago are violent to the max, with as many as 10 murders and dozens of shootings.
Put in perspective – Chicago does an “Aurora” almost every weekend.
Chicago will probably reach over 500 murders this year, or about 10 murders per week if the trend continues. In June of this year, the police reported the city’s number of murders had jumped 39 per cent over what they were last year.
As grim as this situation is, it isn’t as bad as it was.
In 1991, Chicago Police data show, 943 persons were murdered, up 1.6 per cent from the year before. That was 2.58 murders per day. But Chicago remains a dangerous place, and at least one person a day is murdered.Aside from turning Chicago into a running joke, the gunplay also affects one group more than any other.
Blacks.
According to the Chicago Tribune, “Violent crime has long afflicted minorities in Chicago at a much higher rate than the rest of the population, and the spike in homicides in the first half of this year provides an especially stark measure: 201 of the 259 homicide victims were African-American.”While blacks make up about 33 per cent of the city's population, they accounted for nearly 78 per cent of the homicide victims through the first six months of 2012.By comparison, just 11 homicide victims in the first six months of the year were white, and 44 were Hispanic, according to police data. The newspaper reported that most violent crime occurs in black neighbourhoods, and that “a majority of both homicide victims and offenders are young black men with criminal records. With only one exception, African-Americans have made up more than 70 per cent of homicide victims in Chicago every year for the last two decades.”The newspaper also reported that 143 of the victims were gang members or had gang affiliations. And 133 of those had arrest records.
Again, simply put, Chicago is more dangerous for a young black man than a tour of duty in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Blacks are 13 per cent of the nation’s population, they account for more than 50 per cent of homicide victims. Each year, roughly 7,000 blacks are murdered are in the US. Ninety-four per cent of the time, the murderer is another black person. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, between 1976 and 2011, there were 279,384 black murder victims. Using the 94 per cent figure means that more that ¼ of a MILLION blacks were murdered by other blacks.
So why doesn’t anyone demand action? At the very least, why does the black community not demand action?
Because politicians are more interested in keeping the black community victimized and dependent in order to get and keep their votes. Now you are probably saying I’m being a little (ok a lot) cynical about politicians in general an Democrats specifically. But I don’t think I am.
Let’s look at a recent event.
What does a guy who supports the whole black victimization machine from the President on down do about it when he’s made mayor of Chicago? How does he address the black death ghettos in his city?
He attacks Chick-Fil-A.
Rahm Emmanuel sees the chicken restaurant as more of a threat to the city (and Democrat interests) than that represented by the 308 deaths in Chicago so far this year. Democrats run the city of Chicago, and have for decades. They run the major newspapers. They run the TV stations. They run the schools and colleges and universities. They take all the responsibility when it comes to grabbing and keeping power.Yet, they take no responsibility for the 308 murders in black neighbourhoods, yet they say things like “only the Democrats will save black people from the perils of Republican government, from free markets and from a reduction in hand-outs. Only Democrats will fix the social problems that blacks have to endure, not Republicans.
Who’s the cynic now?
Illinois is the only state where you can’t get a concealed handgun carry permit and requires a special permit to even buy a gun. And in Chicago, the law requires registration of all firearms. Typical liberal/democrat/progressive dogma. Lock up the guns and there won’t be any gun crime. Everybody feels good, nothing gets solved and everyone votes Democrat. Divert the attention away from the real issues by focussing on made up bogey men like Chick-Fil-A.
And the black community continues to be slaughtered.
6 hours ago – Anthony Curtis was shot and killed in Chicago. Curtis was third person murdered within a 3 block area since Saturday.

Journalism as Entertainment?
Citing “numerous fabrications” in a report aired on Jan. 6 about working conditions in Chinese manufacturer Foxconn’s factories, public radio program “This American Life” has retracted the show and plans to dedicate an entire, hour-long episode to the issue Friday evening. “We've learned that Mike Daisey's story about Apple in China -- which we broadcast in January -- contained significant fabrications,” explained Ira Glass, host and executive producer of the show, in a statement online. “We're retracting the story because we can’t vouch for its truth.”
This American Life is a weekly public radio show broadcast on more than 500 stations to about 1.8 million listeners. It is produced by Chicago Public Media, and distributed by Public Radio International.
Daisey’s segment on working conditions in the factories was the most popular podcast ever from the show, with 888,000 downloads rather than the typical 750,000, the show said in a statement. The report contained numerous errors both small and large, Glass said. The number of factories Daisey visited in China was listed incorrectly, for example, as well as the number of workers he spoke with.
Daisey also claims to have met a group of workers who were poisoned on an iPhone assembly line by a chemical called n-hexane -- a bigger error, "This American Life" said. Mike Daisey nevertheless stands by his work, stating that the newscast was intended not as news or journalism but as "entertainment". “My show is a theatrical piece whose goal is to create a human connection between our gorgeous devices and the brutal circumstances from which they emerge,” Daisey wrote in a statement on his blog. “It uses a combination of fact, memoir and dramatic license to tell its story, and I believe it does so with integrity.” “What I do is not journalism,” he explained.
That'll learn 'em.

Feds Raid Gibson Guitars (not because CEO is Republican!)
A week ago armed federal agents under the direction of the Justice Department raided a US corporation (120 years old) Gibson Guitars and seized wood used in the manufacture of instruments with the assertion that it was imported illegally. This is the second such raid, costing Gibson untold millions in down time costs not to mention the inevitable lost jobs.
In the first raid almost two years ago, agents armed with automatic weapons seized Madagascar ebony fingerboards. No charges were laid, and event the government of Madagascar provided documents and assertions that the wood was harvested properly, was not pirated and they were happy to sell it to Gibson. Apparently the Madagascar gov't understands how this jobs thing is supposed to work.
The wood seized this week came from Indian and was sourced legally. The supplier is certified with the Forest Stewardship Council (a blessing to ethically harvest and woods of all type) The gov't of India has endorsed its export. The Lacey Act requires that users (like Gibson!) of rare resources like speciality woods ensure that the harvesting and purchase/sale of the wood was done without convening local laws in the export country. This law was designed to stop the illegal harvest of rare woods and other plant-like items by pirates who circumvent the gov't of the exporting country and poach the wood.
So why have the Feds gone after Gibson? Did Gibson purchase wood from poachers? Are the Indians upset that Gibson had violated some local law?
Nope.
What the justice department is contending is that the INDIAN GOV'T IS NOT ENFORCING IT'S OWN LAWS STRINGENTLY ENOUGH! They feds are reading INDIAN LAW and saying that they will enforce it in this country to higher standard than India would. In essence - the Feds are subjecting Gibson not to US laws, but to the laws of a country on the other side of the world. It is not enough that Gibson adhere to the requirements of the Lacey Act and the FSC, but to local laws they cannot and should not have to contend with.
The obcure Indian regulation that the Feds are insisting on enforcing refers to the fact that Indian law says that the wood must be "finished" in India. India say this "finishing" is that the wood be cut into usable pieces for the purpose intended such as guitar fingerboards or pen blanks or whatever. Because the craftmen and women at Gibson sand and shape the wood for final installation - the US gov't is contending that the "finishing" happens here in contravention of Indian law - despite the assertion by the Indian gov't that they have NO ISSUE with Gibson's use of the wood and India is satisfied that "finishing" according to their definition has taken place in India. The government of the US is saying that US workers should not have jobs "finishing" wood.
So Martin Guitars in PA uses the same kind of wood from the same countries and has no raid, no gov't sanctions. Now I know that you might think that the fact that since the CEO of Martin is a big Obama supporter and that the CEO of Gibson is a long time and visible Republican that there is just an outside chance that some pressure was exerted. I roundly dismiss that notion - as I reject the notion that since Obama will be a one term President that the greens and union raiders are getting what they can now before the pillaging of Real America is over. That would be disrespectful of the Presidency, and of the glorious history of Chicago style politics. There has been no cases that I can point to of unions and the Democratic party influencing the LOSS of American jobs. I mean, other than that Boeing thing. That doesn't count. Or that GE thing with the gov't of China, that was an anomaly.......
Hey - you got a nice factory here, we sure wouldn't want anything to happen to it........
