Marie Harf - Too Smart for the Rest of Us...

 

Marie Harf, noted genius in the Obama administration who has a job as a "spokesperson" for the State Department recently said that we "can't win the war on terrorism by killing them" and that "we need to find them jobs". Now, we already know that the Obama administration's tactics for protecting us from terrorists involves guitars around campfires, and when the shit really hits the fan they roll out James Taylor - but I digress.

She is a spokesman. That means she speaks. What she has been told to speak. By the administration.

It isn't Marie Harf that is "saying" that only good jobs can defeat ISIS - IT IS THE ADMINISTRATION. The same one that can't get jobs for Americans now says that their strategy to defeat ISIS is to give them good jobs.

In essence - what they are saying is that if Osama Bin Laden had been given the opportunity to build a fruit stand, he would have avoided being a terrorist altogether.

The first goal of the US government is to protect us the people. In order to do that they have to create tactics that ensure that current threats are eliminated, and that new threats are anticipated. They have a variety of methods at their disposal to perform such tasks - BUT - the primary driver is to meet the current threat profile and defeat it.

I've seen the videos. You've seen the videos. These cavemen are not going to be dissuaded from their activities with the promise of a job as assistant floor manager in the shoe department at Macy's. To think otherwise - AS THE ADMINISTRATION DOES - puts all of our lives in immediate danger.

That's probably a "nuance" that Marie Harf doesn't understand. Unless of course she personally wants to go over there to offer them a position as intern in the State Department....

I saw James Carville in the airport in Dallas once. I overcame my natural urge to punch him, mostly because he looks kind of fragile - like a Muppet that got put in the dryer by mistake and kind of shrunk and stretched all at the same time. What I did do however, was recall his famous  "It's the economy stupid" comment during the Clinton years.

And it is.

And "the economy" to most people anyways, is highlighted by only 2 things - prices of goods led by gasoline prices - and jobs, with jobs in the lead by a bunch. If you don't have a job, you don't have the ability to bitch about prices, so jobs is Job One. Sorry Ford.

I ran across this chart on PJTV the other day and thought it appropriate to present to my readership.

Since 2008 (I wonder what happened then?) the job losses by age category have been most pronounced for young people - who have take almost 3 times the "hit" of other groups. As Steve Carrell from "The Office" mockingly said to a Princeton graduating class last week - "You are young, and because you are young, you are also wrong." I wonder if any of these new voters have a different opinion of their 2008 vote for Obama now that they are standing on the stage with a $150,000 student loan in one hand and shrinking job prospects in the other.And a degree in the third hand. The real world can be cruel sometimes.

But that isn't the most striking part of the graph. Look at the far right. (Small r!)

The only job growth in the last 4 years is in people over 60 who have had to postpone or abandon their retirement. Kids can't get jobs? Blame granny, because she isn't moving to Sarasota anymore. And remember - there is no more pissed off person than an old pissed off person.

These folks are going to be looking for blood in November. Across the board, young, middle aged and old - folks are going to hold politicians - a la Wisconsin - for their actions.

Is it the economy stupid? Yes, and the economy is jobs. QAnd EVERYONE is hurting.ap

Eat the Rich - Let's take EVERYTHING from them!

With a tip of the hat to Bill Whittle - and to all those that are calling for us to take from the "rich" to fund our current misadventures. Obama's budget is $10 billion per day. Let's see how eating our seed corn works for us shall we?

I'm a protester in New York. I hate corporations. Heck, I hate everything, but I REALLY hate big corporations. So let's take AAAAALLLLLL the profits from Exxon and Walmart to fund the Obama adventure. Lets take AAAAALLLLL their profit. That outta put some money in our wallets right.

Nah, it would fund only about 3 days worth of Obama spending.

Okay - lets get really aggressive and make the rich pay for what they'e done to us. Let's appropriate AAAAALLLLL the profit from AAAALLLLL the Fortune 500 companies. Fat cat bastards, let's really stick it to them. How many days would that get us?

Only another 37 days. Crap. We still have to steal, I mean appropriate another 325 days worth of funding.

Enough BS - let's go over the wall and kill all the billionaires. Take AAAAALLLLLL of their incomes.Forget 50% death tax - just take it ALLLLLLLL.  Hah, that'll show 'em. We're gonna be rolling in it. How many days would that get us? Tell me!!!!

130 more days. We're at about 170 days, or about 1/2 way through the year.

Now what? I know - Obama says every body that makes over $250,000 per year is "rich" - we've been setting the bar too high! Let's take AAAAALLLLLL the money from EVERYBODY that makes over $250,000 per year. Take EVERYTHING they make over $250,000. Take it all. Now that should get us over the hump right? What does that do for us? How many days will that get us of Obamaland?

140 more days. Shit. We're still 55 days short. 310 days down, 55 to go.

Okay, okay, war is evil - let's not forget about war - lets bail out of both wars - that will send a message and buy us some more Obama. No more war for oil! How many days can we get from shutting down both wars and bringing the boys home?

25 more days. Okay, let's leave 'em over there. They probably can't readjust to society anyways. 5 more days!

Crikey. Still 25 days short.

Let's cut off food aid to Africa's poor. I mean, we're poor too right? Sorry fly infested African baby, have your people call my people. Ciao, love ya.

Okay - tax every man woman and child in America $600 bucks - and we're there! 365 days. I knew we could do it if we acted collectively - it's January 1st 2012! Hooray!

Now what? What do we do next year? Ooops. We took all of the profits from all of the companies, we've taken all of the salaries and assets from all of the rich people. We've killed off all of the billionaires. We  taxed even the 50% of Americans that didn't pay tax before. We've taken all of the money that we could  and completely ate the rich.

And it only bought us one year of Obama.

No profits left to tax, no salaries left to steal, no assets left to appropriate. No growth to tax, no entrepreneurs left to generate jobs. Nothing. No seed left at all. We ate the rich.

Now what? Obama is projected to increase spending by ANOTHER $1.7 trillion dollars in 2012. Another 5 months to pay for. With what? From where? From who? How?

Mike McGinn - Our green friend in Seattle, spends $65M to insulate 3 homes....

Mmmmm. Your tax dollars give me a righteous buzz....

These Green Jobs Fools like Mike McGinn (Chief Fool of Seattle) have got it made in the shade. Why not take the regular folks money, throw it a "Green Jobs" toilet and then cash in on the La La land vote parade of green weenies. Sorry if I am sounding a bit harsh, and I regret calling McGinn a green fool. That would be disrespectful to both fools, and the color green. Sorry Kermit.

Let's check this guy out. Environmental activist, chairman of the Sierra Club (business bad, beavers good) who got elected on the promise of "kick starting" the economy with hip, green jobs, "sustainable" development and pony rides for everyone.  Let's see how he's done shall we?

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeee's Greenie:

• McGinn and the rest of his friends first made sure that "Big Box" stores couldn't get into the city of Seattle, costing several thousand jobs. Attaboy Mike!
• Created a special tax for businesses that had employees who travelled to work alone. Several hundred more jobs gone. I can now commute nowhere with nobody, because we all lost our jobs. At least we can catch the View!
• Removed the ability of local neighborhood parents to have a say in their children's education by creating a School Board run by professional teachers, (and dissolving local PTAs) What do parents know about teaching anyways, they just clog up the system with their "ideas"....
• Encouraged the police force of Seattle to not enforce marijuana laws (possession, use, manufacture or distribution). I was going to type out the sound of a righteous hard pull on a thick spliff, but I don't know if it is "tooootootoot" or more like "wheeeeze -  ahhhhhhhh"?
• Was then featured on the cover of "Dope" magazine. I think that is a noun. Or is it an adjective?
• He and his advisors actually advocate (this is a quote - Im not making this up!!!!!!!) taking auto drivers who accidentally kill or injure cyclists and "hang them by their toenails at the edge of town until buzzards peck their eyes out." . Gee guys, talk about harshing our mellow...
• McGimp has called for homeless people to be given free housing that the taxpayer pays for on free city land. Hey if it's free, like those samples at Costco - count me in!
• Advocates that the city should be mandated to pay for Transgender surgeries. In related news, the nearby city of Tacoma says that they will pay for surgery to turn you into robot that shoots lasers. I'm off to Tacoma so I can defeat drag queens with my laser beam of death!

Now this genius has had to come forth on his job record. Letting the people know what their hip, sustainable future is bringing them in terms of jobs and prosperity and wealth and security.  Let me get the number right for you. I'm punching it into the Cray 7000 right now - and the answer is:

ZERO. No jobs created. None. Nada. Since taking office Seattle's growth has been exactly - zero.

Despite $20 million pissed away on a home weatherstipping program for Seattle that created 14 jobs. All of them clerical and office staff, he says that if we were just patient we would see the light. By the way - McGinn made the contractors pay the workers $21 per hour to participate in the program, when the going wage was $12 for the same kind of work. He was creating "new economy jobs" ( you know the kind that look good on paper, but don't actually exist past election day.) Dozens of businesses lost their workers and failed. Hundreds more jobs lost. Go Mikey Go!

So 14 jobs created. That sucks, but how many houses did they upgrade?

If it wasn't so tragic it would be funny. Who are the fools here? We can point at the electorate of Seattle and laugh, but it wouldn't do much good. Toledo, Kansas City and PHOENIX spent $65 million under the same laughable federal program and created 72 jobs in total. Since this program works so well, Obama has put ANOTHER $5 BILLION into it. Dat stimbulus done be da shit.

You want comedic fodder? Go look in the mirror. That's who is being laughed at. Who is the fool now?

As G. Gordon Liddy famously said after the re-election of Clinton - "you people deserve yourselves. You sicken me - and I'm not going to hang around just to prove me right."

Talk about harshing the mellow - Hey G. Gordon - would transgender surgery make you feel any better? I mean it's free and all.........

Obama advisor and head of jobs council - signs deal to compete with US!?

Obama hires Jeffrey Immelt to be a "jobs czar". Immelt promptly criticizes American business for not doing "their part" to create jobs. Nothing about the taxation climate, or the needless regulations or the inability of US businesses to find trained workers (thank you public school system!) or anthing else - it is the evil business community that is shirking its duty to create jobs and lining their pockets with the gains gotten off of the backs of the oppressed workers.

Then today it is revealed that GE has signed an agreement with AVIC (The Chinese gov't!!!) to provide avionics knowledge, support and technology so that the Chinese can build a airliners capable of competing with - wait for it - BOEING!!!!! As part of the deal, the Chinese can transfer the technology (inflight avionics, flight simulators etc.) to their military - ostensibly for use against the US and our allies. This deal puts at risk hundreds of thousand of jobs.

The Chinese willingness to exterminate US pilots was underlined during the cold war and as late as 2001 they were intercepting American aircraft in international space and shooting them down, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of American aircrew and pilots. (read "By Any Means Neccessary" - a tale of the systematic killing and torture of hundreds of US airmen by the Chinese and Russians during the cold war)
